Don't forget to be you!

When we choose to follow Jesus and walk our path with Him we need to remember not to forget who we are and where we came from…let me explain…When we make that decision in our lives to ask Jesus for forgiveness and repent, we change our lives removing the all of the negative, all of the anger, all of the pain and sadness, we are letting go of a piece of us, not all of us. Before all of the sadness, hurt, stress, anger and so on, you were you. The one God and Jesus intended you to be. He made you and created you a certain way for a reason and through time we became less us and more of what we created through the negative things that happened in our lives. Jesus wants you to let go of that piece of you but keep the rest of you. He isn't taking all the pain away for you to be someone else, he is taking it away so you can be who God created from the start. God put special gifts inside all of us and through time we ignored them or put them aside or hid them because of everything that life was throwing at us. Don't hide who you are, don't keep your true self hidden in the darkness. Jesus is here to remove the darkness and let the real you shine through. You are the light that God created to make a difference. So remember, let go of the bad and let the real you shine through. Don't forget who you are. Don't forget that you are filled with the light of Jesus. Be you, always. Let the light and love of the Lord shine through in all that you do. Jesus is the light of this world and all that is in it. Jesus loves you!!
